Sawzall blade clamp triumph by this 70 yr old DIY woman
The blade on our Milwaukee 6520-21 Sawzall failed to lock in. e-replacement parts stats (a great help in diagnosing the likely problem) show the % of parts that fail in the blade clamp assembly. I watched the repair video and saw that I could handle the job. I got the whole kit for $16 + S/H as I wasnt sure which part was shot. Arrived in about a week. Used the video & diagram and instructions that came with the parts to disassemble w/o a problem. Found that pin that goes through the hole in the blade base has a tiny nipple that had worn down over time. Reassembly was difficult as I have mod.-severe arthritis in my hands. Had a lot of trouble rotating the spring loaded cam collar with one hand to seat the pin with the other, but by God, I did it, eventually! Actually the hardest part of the repair was reseating the retaining ring that fits into a groove on the shaft sleeve, with arthritis and lacking retaining ring pliers, but in a fit of determination, I finally got the thing on with a tiny flathead screwdriver to press the coil on! Sawzall works like new! This vintage DIYer, a retired teacher with no mechanical training but tremendous MacGyver curiosity, loves to take things apart and fix them. Now Ive got a Sawzall on my life-list of repairs. Ive used e-replacementparts many times, sometimes for very tricky repairs that would have cost a bundle with a service person, and so can you!

Check with the manufacture for correct part number first !
When I ordered my replacement blade clamp I was unsure which one to order so I talked to one of the representatives. Giving him the model number, he suggested the "correct" part. I worked for 3 hours trying to install it, unsuccessfully. Called Milwaukee and found that eReplacementParts had sent the the wrong part. I ordered the correct part from Milwaukee. Waiting for a refund from eReplacementParts.

Great part but holy hell, these folks will spam you silly
The part arrived quickly, worked fine and the instructions were helpful so that part's all good. On the other hand, this company is like having an ex turn stalker: I've unsubscribed my email twice yet keep getting spammed with needy messages asking for reassurance of my loyalty. It was a $20 part - nothing to get excited about. I was just looking to fix my Sawzall, not a new BFF.
