2. Removed trigger assembly (several hex screws).
3. Removed engine cover pieces (several hex screws).
4. Removed old upper shaft and replaced with new upper shaft.
5. Replaced engine cover pieces.
6. Replaced trigger assembly. (*Note: Ensure trigger cable and kill switch wires are firmly seated in the trigger assembly and that trigger isn't crimped or under tension before setting trigger assembly screws.)
7. Removed trimmer head from lower shaft.
8. Replaced trimmer head onto new shaft.
9. Connected lower shaft to upper shaft.

-remove lower shaft from the upper.
-take the t15 and t25 torque bit to remove the 2 small screws on the neck of the head to release the head from the lower shaft.
-pull the metal drive shaft cable out through the bottom of the old lower shaft. The cable will only remove one way.
-grease the cable before inserting into the bottom end of the new lower shaft.
-place the trimmer head onto the bottom of the lower shaft and reinsert both screws. Try to align the smaller of the screws (t15 torque screw) with the push button release at the top of the shaft before tightening so the trimmer head is not turned to one of the sides.

2. Removed the upper driveshaft. Try to keep the throttle housing on. This can be time consuming if you are not careful.
3. Insert new upper drive shaft into trimmer.
4. Insert lower driveshaft into upper driveshaft.
5. Place the trimmer guard and head on the new lower driveshaft.
