My husband purchased the part for a saw that we thought it would fit. Not sure why it didn't, he will modify it to hopefully make it work.

Missing part from an auction item. I spent far more time looking for the parts then it took to install them and I had to used something else that was recommended by someone on your " chat line " .

As stated above I had to take a chance and order a washer that wasn't part of this saw's part list, but it worked and it's operational now!!.

Had to use a similar flange from a similar saw because the original part is no longer available from craftsman or any aftermarket source. The flange I bought was missing a ridge on the side that faces away from the saw blade. I was able to find a couple of washer shims that allowed me to use the replacement flange. I think the repair will be okay but only time will tell. This saw is not very old and looks like a new one but craftsman, which used to be a reputable brand, has discontinued it and parts are no longer available. I have bought a lot of craftsman tools in my lifetime of 73 years but I will never buy another.
