Question: Drive Shaft
Is the upper drive shaft on a 128ld Husqvarna trimmer replaceable without replacing the housing? Is there a coupler between the upper and lower flex shaft that can be replaced?
Reply: Drive Shaft
The only way you can obtain the upper drive shaft and the coupling is by ordering part number 575261201 Upper Drive Shaft Kit. The coupling is crimped on the upper shaft at the factory and cannot be ordered individually.
Hope this helps,

I have my upper metal housing off of the trimmer/ edger and the flexshaft needs to be replaced, I can't seem to pull the shaft from either end. It only moves about 1.5 inches in each direction then stops. How do I go about removing the shaft to replace it.??
