Hi, I own a Hoover Windtunnel U6485-900 that has started "spitting" dirt back out onto my carpet. I vacuum a little bit and when I look back, I see pieces of balled up carpet fibers strewn across the area I just vacuumed. Sometimes, I also see that it's failed to pick up dirt or dust in a particular area. I initially thought it lost suction due to a full bag, but I still have the same problem, even after replacing with a new bag. Sometimes I also get sort of a burnt rubber smell.

Any ideas on the cause of these problems?
