The upper tank does not appear to leak when filled with water. When it is seated into position on the machine, puddles of water form underneath the machine within 5 minutes. The water release trigger seems to function properly. Is this an easy fix? If so, please point me the the part and installation instructions. Thank you and God Bless. 5 brush won't turn - try everything in the manual. cleaned filter, turn off andn on, reseated brush.
Supergumby If you can't manually rotate the brushes, it is probably a seized bearing (there are 2) in the turbine assembly. Remove and dissasemble the turbine (43191021), remove the turbine from the shaft and knock the shaft out of the housing to get to the bearings. The bearing part number may be 91001075, but don't quote me on that. Brushes are not turning, the air flow screen is clear. Do the brushes turn on air flow only or is there a drive from the motor?
Reply: Brushes Not Turning
Supergumby It's an air turbine only that uses gears and 2 bearings I have just replaced the brush block after cleaning and the brushes do not turn. Ideas please. Ribbed plastic part that holds upright part of steamvac to base broke off (the part that disengages when the Handle Release Pedal is depressed). Can't find it on parts diagram (probably because I am unable to enlarge the page enough to single out the part needed). Would you identify the part and its number for me so that I might order it? Thank you. Herb Huber |
