Original head spring broke in 2
Remove top cap by removing the 4 screws that hold it on it out, You will see the spring as soon as you remove the cap. Remove the broken spring and put in the new one in. Check to make sure that there are pieces of the broken one inside of the gun. The spring in mine was many years old, it is not a part that breaks often.
