This is a genuine Mr. Coffee replacement part designed for the GBx23 and GBX25 Grind & Brew Coffee Makers. This assembly includes the Grinding Chamber itself, the Grinding Chamber Lid, and the Water Channel. It is designed to easily lift out of the machine for cleaning and replacement; it sits below the Coffeemaker Lid on top of the removable Filter Basket (part # 114370-000-000). It grinds the beans and then automatically drops this freshly ground coffee into the brew basket for immediate brewing. This part can be washed by hand with dish soap but it is also safe to wash on the top rack of a dishwasher.

The grinding chamber got a lot of dishwasher time, and worked well for 4-5 years. But it failed to grind one morning, so I had to replace it. The new one required screwing the components together. I'm working with only one hand following a stroke, so some mechanical jobs are challenging to me. This one was easy. I screwed the parts together using the old unit as a guide, and put it to use.
