    tank is an improvement
The tank is a good upgrade from the original that had rubber grommets for the hose to run through. Grommets and cap were the leakers. I did not have gas dripping on me after installing it. I had to use fuel line that I have as that that came installed was to stiff for me to get on the fittings. Everyone else may not find this to be a problem

    Thank you
I took my Toro to a repair shop three times. Finally ordered the part I needed and did it myself. Works perfectly. The part was here so fast! It did not cost nearly as much as the shop charged and they did not even fix it correctly. Thank you

Removed air filter, then 3 screws holding the old tank. Pulled two tubing connections from the engine that were connected to the old tank. Connected the tubing connections from the new tank to the engine and then reconnected the new tank plus air filter. The new tank has a much better design with only the tubing projecting from the top.

The Echo trimmer needs a fuel line grommet, the old one was cracked. The trouble shooting list on ereplacement web site clearly indicated this problem and solution. The new grommet solved the problem. For shipping cost, also order and replace vent tube and fuel tank vent.
The Toro trimmer had the same problem, but grommet is no longer available. Had to order a new fuel tank. I was happy that the new tank comes with fuel filter and fuel and vent tubing already installed permanently on the new tank. No grommet is needed in the new fuel tank. So the purchase price is a good value. Just plug the fuel and vent tubing to the engine, and it runs like new!

Fuel lines were actually cracked inside grommet causing leak and sucking air into lines. Removed air filter and disconnected lines from carb and primer bulb. Removed torx screws from fuel tank and replaced fuel tank with new design tank with built in lines and grommet. Easy repair for a Toro weed eater.

Spark plug and air filter simple replacement. Gas tank was a great fit and aligned perfectly with existing holes. Had to adjust the fuel line length by simply pulling more line out of the tank to hook up. Easy job.

The ID of the fuel line supplied with the fuel tank was slightly undersized. Therefore, it was difficult to slide the fuel line onto the carburetor and priming ball nipples. To remedy, I inserted a drill bit into the end of the line(s) and heated with a hair dryer to soften and stretch the ID of the tubing. This expanded ID of the fuel line just enough to be able so slide the line over the nipples. The trimmer is now working like new. Starts first time every time and no fuel leaks!

The grass deflector was changed by loosening one bolt and bracket.
