Fuel cap was leaking. Pull starter grip was broken.
Pulled starter rope out like starting edger. Used needle nose pliers to untie the knot. It was very tight. Put new starter handle on and knotted the rope back up. Replaced old fuel cap with new one.

Just what I needed and ordered
This product and another on the same order came when expected and worked perfectly. I got an old weed eater that I love using because of its light weight up and running again after years of non-use. I will order parts here again when needed.

Replacement Fuel Cap for Homelite Blower/Vac
Very pleased with the fuel cap. It fit perfectly and I now have no leak from the cap when I’m using this tool. The cap arrived quickly. Wish I’d found you guys a couple of years ago. The design of blower is such that the fuel tank sits sideways when the unit is held by the handle. The fuel would so fast from the old cap that I worried about a mini-explosion and fire if the fuel came in contact with the cylinder head. That problem is solved, not to mention using less gas. I’ll keep eReplacement in mind for future parts. Thanks.
