Product Description ?

This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. The front bearing is commonly found in Kirby vacuums. This part is made of metal, and is placed to allow the armature assembly to spin freely. Please be aware that there are different bearings used in the machine. Refer to the parts diagram to be sure of ordering the correct part. You may require a screwdriver when replacing this part. It is advisable when removing multiple parts to keep careful track of their order so they can be reassembled correctly. This item is sold individually.

    Opened up machine as per your instructions changed brushes very simple to do. Opened bearing caps and tried to grease them. The bearings were original and weren’t worth greasing so I installed the new ones. Reassembled the machine everything works great no more bearing noise.

    Accidentally sucked up water in the vacuum and it ruined the front bearing.

    1. Disassembled vacuum to expose the front bearing.
    2. Pressed out the old bearing seal and seal retainer.
    3. Pressed in the new seal, retainer, and bearing.
    4. Reassembled the vacuum.

    Disassembled vacuum to get part number of bearing. Once bearing arrived, reassembled unit. Trickiest part was remembering sequence of parts after a number of days. Works great.
