3.0 HP 2 stroke boat motor not started in 22 years
Disassembled recoil rope assembly , removed shroud(plastic) engine cover-all Phillips head screws . Loosened clamp on intake manifold holding carburetor. Disassembled carburetor , soaked in vinegar over night. Used compressed air to blow out all passages Carefully reassembled carb. Using new float bowl gasket. Cleaned float needle very throughly. Did not use needle valve as the brass seat it assembled too is very stuck . Reassembled should and recoil assembly adjusted idle and it started right up .
