This is an original Echo replacement part. The single layer air filter is designed by the manufacturer for use in power pruners and blowers. This part is made of mesh in a plastic frame, and is used in the air cleaner assembly to help remove dust and debris from the air that passes into the carburetor. No tools are required when replacing this item. Simply loosen the cover knob so the cover can be removed. The old filter can then be removed and replaced. This product is sold individually.

Fuel leaking from fuel line grommet on fuel tank.

1. Flipped choke to cold start & removed air filter cover and filter.
2. Removed primer bulb to access fuel line and return line.
3. Pulled fuel filter out of tank with hook end of a coat hanger (high tech, right?) & removed filter.
4. Disconnected fuel & return line and removed grommet with lines as an assembly.
5. Installed new fuel filter on new fuel line.
6. Put a light coat of motor oil on both lines to help slide through new grommet.
7. Lightly coated grommet with motor oil, inserted grommet with fuel lines/filter attached into fuel tank opening.
8. Install fuel line and return line, primer bulb, air filter, and filter cover.
Pressed prime bulb, pulled starter rope and check for leaks. Everything checked out ok. Problem solved 👍🏼

Weed eater was powering out ...so had to be fuel filter or air filter.....replacing the air filter fixed the problem.

Bent a hook in a piece of wire and fished the fuel line with the fuel filter out of the tank. Removed the old filter from the fuel line and connected the new filter to the line and put it back in the tank. Removed the air cleaner cover, then removed the old air filter and installed the new air filter and put the cover back on.

Socket set, Small length of wire.
Took the cover off the air filter. Removed old filter and replaced with new one. Put the cover back on. Used a socket wrench with a socket I picked up locally that fits spark plugs and removed the old spark plug which I replaced with a new one. Took the fuel cap off and fished the fuel line out with a small length of wire which had hook at one end. Gently pulled the old filter off the fuel line and replaced it with the new one. Pushed the fuel filter and line back into the gas tank; screwed the gas tank cap back on. Tune up complete.
