    , Allen wrench

    1. Loosen all the set screws
    2. Tried to remove the spindle by pulling the hand headstock wheel.
    3. I read the directions in the manual to discover that the spindle is removed by taking off the handwheel, ( a left-handed thread).
    4. I placed the belt on the pully spindle while the spindle was partially out of the headstock.
    5. Pushed the belt tension lever up and placed the belt on the smallest lower pulley.
    6. Returned the spindle into the bearing on the headstock and reattached the handwheel Remember it is (a left-handed thread).
    * A note that I recommend is to wipe debris from the spindle parts with a rag.

Belt is increasingly difficult to find, so a replacement is at the ready when the old one goes. Shouldn't take longer than 20mins or so to R & R.
