Product Description ?

This replacement part is specially designed for use with Makita hammer drills. It is an authentic item that is sourced directly from the original equipment manufacturer. The purpose of a chuck is to secure a drill bit, the ratcheting action clicks the jaws tightly into place for reduced bit slippage. If your drill\\\'s bit retention is suffering, the rotation feels stiff, or the chuck has seized up entirely, a new chuck should fix the problem. This item includes one high-quality metal chuck with a key and it is sold individually.

worn out drill chuck that allowed the drill piece extender to get blazing hot while ruining the drill chuck and scorching my finger - could've boiled water with the heat

, 14 mm bicycle hub wrench - $10.00

One of few reasons I appreciate technology is the streaming media help sites that pop up when the right question is asked. I read where you can use a bicycle wrench (14 mm) to hold the chuck in place while using a tool to unwind it. Without this 'thin wrench', it would not have been possible. I actually used a thin wrench, modifying to fit the 14 mm fitting nut, but the metal had no tensile strength and bent. I appreciate eReplacements for allowing me to purchase the very last one available new anywhere ( Jacob chuck, that is). I can use the tool for my rear bicycle hub in the future -- two birds with one stone, as it were.

I found your youtube video on how to remove a chuck. It took a few more hits probably because it's a hammer drill. But here is a copy of it if anyone may need it.
