Is this chuck compatible with Makita model 6408.

I need to replace my keyless chuck. and prefer one with a key. If so, how do I remove the keyless chuck. I don't see a screw inside the chuck.

Hello Fixer,

Here is an article and video showing you how to remove the existing keyless chuck on your drill. How to Remove a Drill Chuck. If you don't have a chuck screw in your drill just skip that part. You may also want to order the chuck key, part number 763423-0 if you order the new keyed chuck. And yes the 763136-3
chuck will work on your drill.
