Please note some DW718 Models may require an adapter part #618240-00 to make it work. The purpose of the dust bag is to capture sawdust to keep your shop and your work surface cleaner.

This replacement bag comes with an adapter that makes it fit on the 705 miter saw. Without the adapter it would not fit. The adapter makes the bag stick out about two inches farther. My old bag had developed holes and my duct tape fixes were becoming less and less effective! The replacement bag is a little expensive I think but I'm glad to have it.

I initially ordered a replacement dust bad from Amazon. It was supposed to fit my miter saw, but didn't. eReplacement Parts knew I needed an adapter for my saw and supplied one with the replacement dust bag. The repair was simple - with the right parts for the job.

Older DeWalt miter saw with worn and cut dust shoot, torn dust bag, and enlarged kerf board. These parts are difficult to find, even on sites like Etsy.

Disassembled and removed old parts. The kerf board fit great. I had to make sure the saw was cutting exactly at 90 degrees so I dialed it in before making the cut in the new plate.
