Question: Support Assembly Blade Guide
I need the blade guide wheel and holding pin that are part of the Support Assembly (#194 on the parts diagram). Must have seized up at one point and constant use like that has caused blades to wear at least a third through it. I don't see this part as being sold separately, though it seems like it should be given that it's a wearable part. Am I able to obtain this blade guide wheel and pin?

Unfortunately the manufacture has stopped supplying the 388577-00 Support Assembly. It looks like they are starting to discontinue more parts for this model. You may want to look for a used one that you can use for parts.
Question: DW321 Jig Saw
I need a guide, and the screw that holds the guide in place for my DW321 jig saw. I do not find either shown on the parts diagram. How do I obtain them?

In doing a little research the rip guide I came up with for the DW321 Jig Saw is part number 1004501-00 Rip Fence. And it does come with the screw to hold it in place.

Reply: How To Replace Support Asm
As I remember you remove the item number 139 part number, 330041-29. And then replace it with a a small hammer if you have on tapping it lightly.
Hope this helps,
Question: Dw321 Jigsaw
i have a type2 jigsaw and the blade will not stay in. After about 3-4 strokes the blade will come out. I have checked the clamp for trash and taken it off to clean it. i have even taken a file to the edge. The saw has not been used alot. I have tried differant blade maker. Any ideas to solve this problem short of a trash can?

Dewalt made changes to the dw321 type 2.The Clutch Assembly had some improvements to it.Order Clutch Assembly Part Number: 402158-03SV and that should fix your problem.Hope that helps.Good luck.
Question: What To Do With Pin
My saw is broken and I opened it up to see if I could fix it. I found that there is a pin that goes in the cam (#130) and guides the counterweight (#159). When I opened the saw, there was another seemingly identical pin loose in the chamber. It looks like the counterweight should be guided by a second pin in the second slot, but I can't find any place for this second pin to go. The diagram above doesn't even show the pin that goes in the cam. Thanks.
Reply: Change Blade
Item #180 is the blade knob. To replace the blade pull up on the blade knob, it will lift up about 3/8". Now rotate the blade knob counter clockwise a couple of turns. This will loosen the blade clamp and the blade can now be pulled out of the blade holder. Insert the new blade into the blade holder. With the blade knob still extended, rotate the knob clockwise until it becomes tight. Lower the blade knob back down and you are ready to cut.
Question: Dewalt DW321 Type 3 Disassembly ...
Are there disassembly instructions for the DW321 jig saw on-line? My "aggressive of cut" feature doesn't work and I need to open the saw up so I can find out what's broken. I have the parts diagram but that doesn't explain how to disassemble.

Question: Jig Saw Chuck / Quick Release Pr...
I have a jig saw model dw321 type 3. I bought it used , and apparently broken, as far as I can tell the lock and release for the blade is controlled by a black Knob on the top front of the saw. The problem now is the blade will not lock in . what will I need to replace ? and is there an up dated replacement keyless chuck available ? compatable? Thanks for any info.

Most likely the part you need to replace is the clutch mech..part #402158-03..[the metal shaft comes loose from the plastic head] ..there is no keyless chuck available for this to the best of my knowledge..:) change out that part and you shouldn't have any more problems..parts avail at ereplacementparts.com
hope this is helpful..

How do you release the knob?
Review: DeWALT - DW321
Installing the blade on this model is impossible. The clic - clac instructions are meaningless and the blade falls out time after time regardless of how many different ways you turn the know. In the future your product designer may want to enlist the feedback of one or two consumers before finalizing the design.
