Upsize keyless chuck

Can I upsize the keyless chuck on my 3/8" 12V drill/driver to 1/2"? What parts are needed and would there be any issues?

Hi Pepper,

It is possible to do. You will need to keep in mind that the drill is just a 12V drill so you will need to be careful to not overload the tool. The problem is finding a chuck that will work. I am sure that your drill will have a 3/8" threaded spindle. All of the 1/2" chucks that I have found require a 1/2" threaded spindle. If you can find a 1/2" chuck for a 3/8" spindle it should all work fine.
