Question: What Is It
What does the hardware pack include. I bent the shaft on my 11-900 and I don't see it in the parts list.
Reply: What Is It
Most of the time a hardware pack includes all the bolts, nuts, screws, washers and some small extra items for the machine in question.
The reason you cannot locate the spindle part number for your Delta 11-900 Drill Press is because the manufacture no longer supplies it. The old part number for the spindle was 1310040 if you want to search on line to see if anyone out there has one.
Question: Motor Capasitor
I DO NOT FIND A MOTOR RUN CAPACITOR FOR THIS MODEL CAN YOU REPLACE THIS ITEM?
Reply: Motor Capasitor
The capacitor is not offered as a separate part from the manufacture. I would remove the capacitor and take it to a local motor shop. A well equipped shop will have a selection of capacitors available and should be able to match one up for you.
Question: Chuck Smaller Than Spec
Using it for the first time -- chuck will not receive 1/2 inch bit. Opened to max and won't even accept 3/8 inch bit. Only solution from Delta is to purchase a new chuch for $60. Any advice?
Reply: Chuck Smaller Than Spec
I would try cleaning the chuck with a spray solvent like carb cleaner. Sometimes the rust inhibitor that is applied for shipping will clog the jaws of the chuck. The cleaner should remove it. After cleaning I would spray a lubricant like WD40 into the chuck as well. This will lubricate everything and prevent rust. If this doesn't work then likely the internal jaws, springs or retainers are damaged and the chuck will need to be replaced.
I hope this helps with your repair!
