Took out the old grate and removed a heap of ashes from all around the bottom of the electric grill
Scraped the sides of the grill to get it spotless--used a flathead screw driver & vacuum
inserted new grate making sure I lined up teeth in front with indentations on front side of grill
The grill looks brand new
