    Easy repair great parts diagram
It went right back together the roofing nailer had been sitting on work bench needing to be fixed for 2 years.

Easy to fix your air leak and stuck piston.
Easy diagnosis and repair: pull 4 top cap screws off and you will likely find a bad seal (what should be one piece is now 2 pieces). Part was the dampening collar on the top end of the Roof nail gun RN175A by porter cable. The old one deteriorated due to age, use and oils. While i feel the cost is kind of high for a small piece of rubber the part fit great and got the gun back up and running well. Back to another few thousand nails again hopefully? The gun is over 10 years old and has been used pretty regularly. So if this holds for another 5 years i can call it a winning situation.

Easy to Order, Easy to Install, Problem Solved
I ordered this part for my Porter Cable Roofing Coil Nailer (RN175A). It suddenly stopped firing and was blowing air out the exhaust. Took the cylinder cap off and this seal fell out in 2 pieces. Replaced the seal and put the cap back on. Working nail gun again.

I removed the rear cover and saw the problem. The collar was in many pieces. Disassembled the rest of the nail gun for inspection and cleaning. I oiled the parts and reassembled the tool with the new collar. This part fit like a glove. Air checked and tested the nail gun.It worked like new.
