This is an authentic Skil replacement part, sourced from the original manufacturer for use with miter saws. The special collar is used to mount the link to the blade guard. The collar fits into the rail on the link to allow the blade guard to travel back and forth along the rail. This special collar is available as an individual replacement part, please see model diagram for associative parts.
