Question: Pstx95-91 Water Filter Assy.

bbhawks37

I purchased a filter assy. Wf-10 for the PSTX91 coffee maker . I found that it comes as a filter and frame assy. (the only one I could find.) I would think ,since the filter comes in a sealed plastic bag that it would be available separately from the frame since the frame doesn't fit this unit. Any ideas?

Question: Tank Reservoir Broken Top

Costumebill

When tying to get the tank off this morning the tab at the top broke off that seems to serve the purpose of holding the tank in place. It made coffee fine. I see that this part is discontinued. DO I need to get a new machine or is it ok to keep using?

Question: Repair For Mr. Coffee Leaky Ther...

faithforhorses

Is there any way to repair the leaky seam on the thermal carafe? It leaks at the seam where the plastic meets the metal. Other folks have said it is because the acid in the coffee wears away the seal. Can the seam be filled in or sealed in some way?

Hello faithforhorses,

I'm sorry but I haven't got the answer for you. You might try a Mr. Coffee authorized service center in your area though. Hopefully they will be able to help you.

The leak is not really a leak at all, it's water build up between the inner and outer pieces of the carafe. I have to shake the water out of mine every morning as I wash the coffee pot every evening. Hold the coffee pot as if you are pouring coffee, shake it a bit and watch the water come out. If you do this every time before you make a pot, you will have no more leaks. Hope this helps!

Question: Leaking Carafe

1119738

Trying to decide if it is worth buying a replacement carafe for my Mr. Coffee PSTZ91. It leaked around the top of the carafe where the metal meats the plastic. Anyone else have trouble with this model's carafe leaking?

Question: Am I Missing A Part?

Applejackson

I was dumping the grounds and the pause-and-serve assembly came apart. I cant figure out how it goes back together and I think I must be missing a part. I have a small spring and a small plastic piece that looks like an umbrella. There is no obvious way of attaching the umbrella piece to the basket. (I am reasonably mechanically inclined.) So can anyone verify if there is a third piece to this assembly and what it looks like? Can anyone post a photo of this assembly so I can see what it is supposed to look like? I think there must be a missing piece.

I only have the two pieces on mine, spring, umbrella with stem. The stem just pushes into a rubber insert in the filter basket. Are you missing the rubber insert maybe?

Question: Pstx91

pacoffee

Where can you get the brew basket assembly for the pstx91?
WJA

WJA

Hello pacoffee,

Even though the Brew Basket is on a factory back order. There are hundreds of Mr. Coffee service centers around the the county. Check the ones in your area. Then if they are out of stock, Google the part number and hopefully you,ll find a Dealer or Service Center that has one. I just hope you don't have to wait until they come off of back order.

Good luck,

This was a gift. All of a sudden I've been leaking coffee and grounds. I've cleaned it out, but the lid seems to be malfunctioning...it doesn't snap shut and you can hear the little ball rattling. I see you have discontinued the lid and we have to spend $30 for the whole carafe. I am disappointed.

Question: Thermal Carafe Assembly

san60dra

I've had my coffee maker for 4 mo. now and from the first use, the carafe leaked dark water from around the assembly of the black handle to the stainless steel joint.....I thought it would seal itself...but I guess not. Is this happening to anyone else?

Hello san60dra,

I have copied a post from Tom. I hope this will help you with your problem.

I bought one and the first time filling the container, it all drained on my counter. I called the warranty people they sent me another unit.... It also leaked all over the counter, I called again they sent a 3rd unit and it also leaked the whole container all over. I have 3 units that drained.... It is the silicone rubber that is suppose to seal around the little center spout under the tank, It doesn't seal correctly... I removed the rubber seal and flipped it over to the other side and it hasn't leaked since. Very Poor design.... if they would just add a stainless washer below the rubber seal it would help support that seal so it's not pushed down instead of around the spout. The silicone washer isn't just a flat washer.... it does have a rib around one side of the center whole...

If you put the coffee maker through a clean cycle it should go away. Fill the reservoirwith water, make sure the coffee pot and basket are empty, and then press the clean button. This should take care of this problem.

Question: Water Tank Leak

D J Gibson

The water tank leaks when attached to the body of the coffee maker, but not when it is just sitting on the counter

I had the same problem. All you have to do is use a paper towel and dry the water off the nipple that inserts into the coffee maker when it is set into the coffee maker.

It's the crappy seal in the body of the coffee maker, not the tank itself.

I am having this issue after 3 years of solid service. With the tank removed the base has a raised assembly visible, attached by 3 philips heads screws. At the very center of this assembly is a circular plastic ring a little bigger than a pencil eraser. In my case, that little circle is broken and now resembles the letter C.

This damage causes the tank to leak the water supply VERY slowly, meaning that I cannot fill the tank (in place) overnight and have timed brewing.

Internet search shows they have had trouble with this problem for a long time.

I have had the same problem almost since day one but now it's so bad it leaks faster than it can brew resulting in 10 cups of water on the counter and 2 in the carafe. Biggest piece of junk I ever spent $80 for. I wish I had just bought the $35 basic machine.
