Bad power switch, weak clutch

Carlos - December 30, 2016
Tool Type

Cordless Drill

Difficulty

Medium

Time

30-60 minutes

Tools Used

Screwdriver, Pliers, Socket set, soldering iron, wire cutters

Take the drill all apart with a phillips screwdriver, ruin the snap ring getting the clutch plate off, order 3 parts, delivered, for $35 from e-replacement parts instead of paying local prices at $60 just for the power switch + shipping. Re assemble the clutch shaft with the new cam plate, Use an empty socket to smack the new snap ring on the end of the clutch shaft, cut wires and solder the switch to the motor. Reassemble the case.

Clutch was slipping

CHARLES - November 14, 2016
Remove the screws from the housing and separate, trying to keep the internal parts inside of one half. Take a picture of the internal parts. Lay the parts you are replacing in a line as you remove them. Then install the new part as you removed the old parts. Then screw the housings together
