This is an authentic Metabo replacement part, sold individually.
This Clamping Nut is used on the Metabo Grinders to secure the grinding wheel on the shaft. It does not use a spanner wrench to tighten it on the spindle, it has tabs inside of the nut to keep it, and the grinding wheel, secured on the spindle.
This part is compatible with the grinders that are shown below.

1. Disassembled outer casing to discover worn brushes. Replaced brushes.
2. Discovered a worn bearing which caused excessive play on the shaft, replaced that too.
3. Also replaced the clamping nut which holds on cut off wheel/flap disc/whatever you are using.
Took me about 20min or more, but I wasn't in a rush.

Separated plastic case took out screws for cord installed new one . Pulled out brushes and pushed in new ones and reassembled
