A special screw locks the saw blade in a chuck. Lost the screw.
I lost the screw that locks the blade in place on my Bosch jig saw. The hardest part of the repair was locating the specific replacement. Thank you ereplacementparts.com. The lock screw is inserted in an opening in the handle over the the reciprocating shaft that holds the blades. A long thin screw driver is supplied with the jig saw for the purpose of changing blades.

Purchased in 1986 and needed update.
1. Purchased a different base plate from another Bosch Jigsaw and attached with an Allen wrench.
2. Removed from of Jigsaw and replaced lifting rod.
3. Added in some new grease.
4. Screwed it back together.
This made it work better than the day I bought it.

Clamp that blade
Perfect fit at decent price. Shipping time good but pricing a little on the high side (shipping). Item could have been mailed in envelope for .50 instead
of 5.95.
