This keyless 1/2" capacity chuck attaches to the drill using a 1/2"-20 spindle. The heavy-duty metal construction provides excellent durability and wear resistance while the single-sleeve design improves comfort and efficiency with the ease of keyless bit switching. This chuck self-tightens while the drill is in operation using the resistance caused by drilling. This continual tightening dramatically improves bit-retention.
If your drill's bit retention is degrading, the rotation feels stiff, or if the chuck has locked up entirely, a new chuck should fix your drill.
