  • 14"
Description:
This is a genuine OEM sourced replacement part designed for use with chainsaws. It is made out of metal and it is sold individually. This is the part that fits over the bar and it is what cuts the material. Over time the chain will stretch and become dull so it will need to be replaced.

To replace this chain you would need a wrench, screwdriver and pliers.

• Remove the buide bar side panel
• Release the chain tension
• Remove the old chain
• Loosen the tensioning screw
• Thread the new chain onto the saw
• Align the guide bar
• Replace the side plate
• Tighten the chain to the correct tension
• Finish tightening the side plate nuts

Wore out chain
Loosen bar nuts,loosen chain adjuster, remove old chain, put on new chain (make sure it's going the right direction) and then re-tension the chain and tighten bar nuts. Re-tighten chain after a little use as it will get loose fast when new.

Chain would not move. Engine would run but chain would not turn. The clutch seemed bound.
1. Loosened bar nuts
2. Removed bar and chain
3. Put new bar and chain in place
4. Tightened both nuts to finger tight then adjusted chain tension
5. Tightened nuts fully
6. Started engine and cut the hell out of a log. Works great - much better than when new.

3. Installed new chain.
4. Repositioned bar, partially tightened.
5. Adjusted tension of new chain.
6. Tightened bar.

Replaced won out chain on chain saw
Removed side cover two nuts, chain slides right off. Replaced with new chain. Replaced side cover, tightened nuts., then tightened slack adjustment screw, which took all of ten minutes and I was back in business

Plastic trigger & high rpm lock were broken
Followed instructions included --- pushed out old pins-- aligned holes-- replaced parts-- pushed pins back in with c-clamp--reassembled unit & checked out operation of new parts. Works great.

The auto oiler was not putting oil on the chain/bar. The filter was dirty and choking the engine. The chain was worn and could not be sharpened again.
Removed the sprocket and then the oil pump. Replaced oil pump and sprocket. Remove the air filter and replaced. Installed new chain.
