This is a genuine Hoover replacement filter. This cartridge-style filter is designed to fit inside the dirt cup. It is the main filter of the vacuum and is responsible for catching the majority of the debris. This is a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter, which is ideal for allergy and asthma sufferers. It is also known as a Type 201 filter.
