Product Description ?

A carburetor basically consists of an open pipe through which the air passes into the inlet manifold of the engine.
The pipe is in the form of a Venturi: it narrows in section and then widens again, causing the airflow to increase in speed in the narrowest part.
Below the Venturi is a butterfly valve called the throttle valve — a rotating disc that can be turned end-on to the airflow, so as to hardly restrict the flow at all, or can be rotated so that it (almost) completely blocks the flow of air.
This valve controls the flow of air through the carburetor throat and thus the quantity of air/fuel mixture the system will deliver, thereby regulating engine power and speed. The throttle is connected, usually through a cable or a mechanical linkage of rods and joints.

Fuel is introduced into the air stream through small holes at the narrowest part of the Venturi and at other places where pressure will be lowered when not running on full throttle.

Removed the top cover then the air filter. I disconnected the primer bulb line from the old carb. and reused it. That way I didn't need to change that also. Should've ordered a new gasket kit, but was able to salvage the carb gasket and reuse it. Saw ran great after I was done. Just have to remember to drain the gas when it gets stored for any length of time.

Anything with the fuel system requires removing the carburetor on a Husqvarna designed saw. So this wasn't the first time and I thought that it would take 30-60 minutes, but at 60 minutes the last part to replace was the start lever which includes an electrical connector which is a prickly through a hole to a flat spring that is fussy to align, and an apparent trick sequence. After completion, I checked the fuel tank and decided to pump the prime bulb and see what happened, it started after a few pulls and continued to use the saw finishing the last cut and several more on the log where it quit two months ago.
I wondered why the shipped carburetor had the included push bulb attached to the wrong fuel tank intake which required effort to remove since it was attached for a permanent attach. I also would have thought it would have included a new gasket to the cylinder that needed to be recovered from the old carb which was removed with a slight loss of it's content since it most likely was adhesive adhered.

The chainsaw had been stored for years without fuel. Immediately I knew the fuel pump rubber was split. A new carb was ordered from e-replacement parts because of their speed and efficiency getting it here.
Once the part arrived it was exactly like the one on the saw, replacement was simple done on a bench. After the carb was installed the saw started with the first pull and idled perfect. Be sure to use fresh fuel with your new carb. Even if it is your first time doing this, it is easier than you think. Thanks e-replacement parts for being there.
