Product Description ?

This is a genuine OEM supplied replacement carburetor kit. It is used on gas powered chainsaws. The purpose of this part is to mix air and gas before the fuel mix goes to the engine. This kit includes a metal body carburetor and a plastic heat dam. Please note gaskets are sold separately.

If the engine won\'t start and the tank is full of fresh fuel, test the carburetor by removing the air filter and pouring about a teaspoon of fuel into the carburetor. Pull the starter rope. If the engine starts and then quickly dies, the carburetor is likely the problem.

To complete this repair you would need a screwdriver.

• Remove the rear cover
• Remove the carburetor
• Remove the fuel filter
• Install the fuel filter
• Install the carburetor
• Re-assemble and test the unit

    So nice...
Bolted it on a 20 year old Poulon chainsaw that hasn't run for 3 years. Fired right up with the old gas and no adjustments. Doesn't come with a new gasket.

Replacing the spark plug and air filter was simple and straight forward.
The replacement of the carburetor was tedious. everything must be aligned properly. When you take off the old carburetor, make sure you note where each part or attachment goes. Careful attention must be made to keep the air intake for the new carburetor clean.
Replacing the fuel line and the new fuel filter should have been easy but threading the new fuel hose through the small opening was very difficult. I ended up pushing the hose through with a small screwdriver and cutting off the damaged piece of hose. A long curved forceps or curved needle nose pliers would have helped.
