Description:
This is a replacement carburetor sourced from original manufacturer. It is designed for use with gas trimmers/pruners. Carburetor mixes air and gas before the fuel mix goes to the engine. If the engine won't start and the tank is full of fresh fuel, test the carburetor by removing the air filter and pouring about a teaspoon of fuel into the carburetor. Pull the starter rope. If the engine starts and then quickly dies, the carburetor is likely the problem. This carburetor has a metal body and it includes a plastic lever.

To complete this repair you would need a screwdriver.

• Remove air box cover, filter and base
• Disconnect fuel lines
• Remove old carburetor and install new one
• Reconnect fuel lines
• Re-assemble and test the unit

Question: High And Low Speed Needles

1382970

Are the needles in this car accessible or are they capped? In the WT-619 they are supposed to be accessible while in the wt-628 (identical except for) they are not. They are capped in the later one because of EPA standards. I would like to verify that I can adjust the high and low speed idle on this carb. I bought the wt-628 cheaper, but it won't reach high enough speeds because it has been retarded by the EPA by limiter caps. If I were to buy this one, I want to make sure it is the real thing and has no EPA caps on it. Thanks.

Hello If the carb mixture adjustment needles are capped with the thick nylon guard, you can cut if off and readily get to the mixture screws. I use a pair of side-cutters. Here is how you adjust it ONCE you get the EPA guard off of it. Don't worry. Zama and Walbro carbs adjust out the same way.

Hello 1259781,

According to the manufacture there is not a repair kit for the 530071637 Carburetor Assembly. It says it is a WT619. I did locate a kit for a WT619-1 Carburetor, it is part number K10-WAT. I can't tell you that it will work in your carburetor. Just in case you purchase a new Carburetor, order the Poulan part number 530071637. It's the same Carburetor that Craftsman uses but it's about $17.00 dollars cheaper.
