Product Description ?

This replacement carburetor is sourced from original equipment manufacturer for use with Weed Eater gas trimmers/edgers. The purpose of a carburetor is to supply a combustible mixture of fuel and air to the engine. It has a metal body and a rubber primer bulb. Please note gaskets are sold separately.

To complete this repair you would need a hex key/allen wrench.

• Remove air box cover and base
• Disconnect fuel hose
• Remove old carburetor and install the new one
• Re-assemble and test the unit

    Remove the air cleaner assembly, Remove the fuel lines from the old carburetor and place them on the new one. Do the same with the throttle link. Replace the air cleaner assembly. Pump the primmer until you don't see any air in the line, Pull the starter a few times and get back to work.

    Old carb sat to long

    Removed two allen screws. Removed old carb. Replaced with new. Primed the carb with the push bulb. It fired on the 5th pull.

    2. Removed fuel tank
    3. Replaced deteriorated fuel lines
    4. Installed fuel tank
    5. Installed replacement carburetor
    6. Installed replacement air filter

    Carburetor not working & cylinder housing loose

    Edger would not start. No gas getting to cylinder. Replaced carburetor. Still didn't run. Took edger apart. Removed cylinder housing which was loose. Replaced gaskets and tightened bolts to cylinder housing. Reinstalled carburetor. Edger started and ran fine..

    4. Secured the new carburetor
    5. Reattached the lines

    1. Removed filter cover and replaced filter
    2. Removed 2 5/16" Nuts that secured the whole assembly
    3. Replaced Gasket between Head and Carburetor assembly
    4. Replaced Carburetor assembly an secured with the 2 5/16" nuts
    5. Replaced filter caver and filter

    Note: In the event that the throttle cable is too slack or tight Do Not Disassemble the trigger housing. Just loosen very slightly the securing screws and slide the assembly in one direction or the other to loosen or tighten the throttle cable. AS the throttle trigger spring if disengaged from the throttle trigger is a REAL BEAR to get back in place.
