Remove the old brush from the brush holder

2. Unclipped brushes from mounting bracket and installed new brushes.
3. Replaced drill housing and screws.

2 - Opened up the housing to reveal the motor and grinder gears and bearings.
3 - Lifted out the motor from the housing.
4 - used a pair of needle nose pliers to grip the ends of brush #1 on one side of motor and pulled it out from the motor slot. Repeated the same step for brush #2.
5 - Pushed the new brushes into the old motor slots.
6 - Replace motor back into housing with bearings and gears.
7 - Secured the motor housings back together again with the 5 screws.
8 - Plugged in the power cord, and the motor / grinder ran perfectly again.
Inserted brushes and re-assembled the tool. It still has the same symptoms, guess it's just worn out. I can't see anything else visibly wrong with it but it is 20 years old.
