This is an authentic manufacturer-sourced replacement part that is specially designed for use with Karcher pressure washers. The capacitor is a two terminal electrical device used to store electrical energy in the form of an electric field. It basically provides leading current in AC circuits and in a DC circuit, the capacitor once charged with the applied voltage acts as an open switch. Make sure to refer to the owners manual and the appropriate diagrams of your exact model for the correct location and application of this component. Note, one high-quality capacitor is included.

Screwdriver, Torx T15 & 20 Drivers
1. Removed front cover of machine with Torx driver.
2. There were two snap off covers over some of the screws
3. Removed black plastic cover over the capacitor.
4. Noted how the switch spring at the top of the cover was located
5. Removed bad capacitor noting wire connections.
6. Installed new capacitor
7. Reinstalled capacitor cover.
8. Connected water to the machine and checked to see if the motor started.
9. Reinstalled front cover.
