Description:

This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. The cable assembly is commonly found in snowblowers and snow throwers from Husqvarna and Poulan. This part is a metal cable with a flexible plastic casing, and is used to connect the rotator pivot bracket with the chute rotator head. You may require a wrench when replacing this item. This product is available as an individual replacement part.

Cable that operates the chute broke

1. Remove cowling over all of the controls.
2. Removed cable assembly from controls area.
3. Removed nut that holds the rotating part by chute.
4. Loosened nut on chute assembly to remove that end of the cable.
5. Removed old cable.
6. Installed new cable
7. Consulted manual and other diagrams, since I forgot to take a picture of how the cable was routed on the chute assembly piece.
8. Reinstalled all of the parts back on the snowblower.
