This is for replacing brushes in a Milwaukee M18 cordless sawzall not a cordless drill.
Remove torx screws, take apart plastic clamshell. Dont loose the tiny ball and spring in the switch lock out, it will go flying when you split the clamshell. Pry out brass brush caps to remove brush springs and brushes.
Use soldering iron to heat solder to remove old brush wire from switch. Solder new brush wire to switch. Slide in new brush then brush spring re-install brass brush cap to hold spring. Route brush wires in wire holders. Put plastic clamshell back together. The switch lockout is the hardest part. Make sure its engaged on the lock lever on top of the switch before you close the clamshell completely. Re-install torx screws. Done.
