Carbon brushes are a commonly replaced part on power tools, due to normal use and friction they will gradually wear down eventually requiring replacement. 2. Followed the sequence for disassembling.
3. Replaced worn out brushes.
4. Assembled parts in reverse order.
5. Tested the vacuum. It worked fine.

Watched a u-tube video on what might cause the vacuum from operating. Primary reason was the motor brushes so I ordered them. Then re watched the video and followed the steps to replace the motor brushes. Simple as that
