Are the four screws around the brewhead the only attachments for the front cover to come off? When I turn on the machine, it just sits there doing nothing. The pump is shot, I think, and I'm not sure how to replace it, any suggestions greatly appreciated.

WJA Hello 704860, It appears that the silicone washer may be the cause of the leaks at the swivel on my machine. This part is shown as discontinued. is there an equivalent part or must I replace the entire wand assembly? The machine will not put out any steam, just little drops of water although you can hear the pump running. Also, it will put out very hot water but after a few seconds the hot water is not hot anymore, just warm. Is the problem electronic, thermostats? It appears the water heater and pump are working, but there seems to not be continuous heat for hot water or 'extra hot' heat needed for steam. Any help would be appreciated.

hallmark55 Hello, my machine doesn't heat up anymore. Did you make the repairs on your machine? Is it new or used? If used, any guaranty it will work. Is there a Warranty from manufactuer? When I make coffee - the machine starts to smoke like it is starting to short out with a burning smell. Before I take the machine apart - could the problem be the thermal block? My frother feels very loose and leaks, do I need to change the whole assembly or just a seal? My machine does not want to create steam. If I shut it off and turn it back on a couple of times it might produce steam. Otherwise it is pumping hot water in the steam position. What do I need to replace to make my machine work properly again? I hope someone could help me! The moment I turn on the machine there is water running out of the Diffuser (part #124) I believe that this part is connected to the Thermal Block Assembly (Part #251) I have a few options, or the Thermal Block has past away, or a whole in the diffuser so the pressure is dropped and water leaks. Anyway, suggestions ideas are more then welcome. Greets Coffee Gwen A.K.A Anyone figure out a way to increase the water temperature? I would like to disassemble the appliance to access the tubes that go between the pump and the tank, boiler, etc. What is the easiest way to accomplish this?

Chance I am trying to disassemble to get at the Thermoblock. I have removed plastic sleeve screws under the brew head, and the brewhead housing screws, and the bottom of unit screws and removed the drip pan. The dang thing doesn't want to open up. I can't see what I am missing. Any ideas?

Teamplayer Remove both part #105 Top Connectors with a screwdriver. Use a soft hammer to tap the top cover toward the front of the machine about 1/4 inch. The top cover should lift straight up. is there a cross reference for this screw that is no longer availble?

WJA Hello jnorris5151, when I make coffee, water leaks out of the holes by the silicon seal. I changed the seal and still leaks. can you help?

javaboy Probably the Water Valve assembly its plastic and easily cracks if you changes the seals already the valve is probably cracked. The machine makes the coffee a little bit cold. The steam for the milk works good and the water comes real hot, but the coffee comes out just cool. Do I need to replace or clean or something any part to obtain the coffee really hot? My machine is in pre-heating mode. I do not have any hot water MY MACHINE HAS NO POWER GOING TO IT AT ALL. DOES THIS MACHINE HAVE A CIRCUIT BOARD TO REPLACE?
Reply: BREVILLE ESXL
Hello Yes this machine does have a circuit board and it may need to be replaced. While making an espresso, for no apparent reason, the pump stopped pumping coffee. It still had water in water tank. Do I have to change the pump or is there a protection mechanism that prevents the pump from breaking? My email is link removed.

Hello You need to physically take apart the machine and see if the pump is working. If it is sucking and nothing comes out of it, then the pump mechanism is the problem. The tube is see through when you take it apart so you should be able to tell if it's being pushed out. |
