SPEND YOUR MONEY WISELY, DO NOT BUY THIS BOSCH 1194AVSR.639 HAMMER DRILL! AFTER A LITTLE OVER 1 YEAR OF MODERATE USE, THE MOTOR CAUGHT FIRE AND BURNED OUT. THIS TOOL IS WORTHLESS. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME OWNING A BOSCH TOOL AND WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS TOOL BOSCH HAS ENCOURAGED ME TO STAY FAR AWAY FROM ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS!
Last time I ever buy a Bosch power tool. Burnt out after less than 2 years of ocassional use. The drill isn't worth what the armature costs to replace. My DeWalt has worked like a horse for 5 yaers with absolutely no problems.
This drill motor has been used very little, and worked fine the last time I used it. When I plugged it recently it was dead. Current will pass through the switch, but no motor rotation. Can anyone tell me what the likely problem is?...

I have owned this drill for a long time and my only complaint has been that even in Low Speed 1 it is much too fast for large bits. It burns them up. I was told that the VSR means the drill speed is adjustable by the on off switch. It has never been. It is either on or off.
Can any one guide me in the proper direction to the problem. Is it most likely the on/off switch or in a module that contains resistors shown on the parts breakdown.
It is be best big drill I have ever owned and if it can be made to operate at a slower speed so it doesn't break wrists and burn up cobalt bits it would be ever better....
