Bolt head broke trying to adjust riving knife mechanism.
If you like a "few" others attempt to adjust the tension on the riving knife mechanism on this Ridgid 4512 table saw on to find you snapped the head off the bolt (duh!), fear not.
1. As the bolt was sheared at the head, remove the entire riving knife assembly and set aside.
2. Clean all parts of grime and saw dust.
3. Raise the blade to the highest point.
4. Using either memory or the machine schematic, reassemble but DO NOT over tighten the locking nut. Slide the riving knife over the mounting point and try to lock the assembly into place. If it is too difficult, back the nut off a half turn and try again. The proper position is a little looser than you would expect. If it is too loose, tighten the nut no more than a half turn at a time and retry.
The ONLY reason this is not an "easy" 5 minute repair is the small space you have to work with. Large hands like mine will make it almost impossible and small needle nose pliers may be needed.

Perfect part
The website was easy to use and the exploded diagrams made it easy to find the exact part I needed. I was very happy to find this special bolt at a good price for my tablesaw riding knife assembly.
