In order to replace the bolt, a socket wrench will be needed to remove the bolt from the mulching blade. This part is made of metal and is sold individually.

Screwdriver, Socket set, Wrench Set, Nutdriver, Bearing puller, torque wrench, solvent.

Lower blade bolt came loose and stripped the star which holds the blade tight to the shaft.

Removed the mower deck from the riding lawn mower, removed the plastic cover from the deck over the shift bearing house, then removed three bolts holding the shaft and bearings to the deck. Then used the blade while using a air driven impact wrench to remove the top bolt from the shaft. Used the new shaft to mount the new bearings into the shaft housing. The instructions mentioned using a spacer that was required but was not part of the kit or on the old set up. It should have been included in the kit. Reversed the above steps to complete the installation.

blade bolt threads were stripped unable to secure blade

removed mower deck from lawn tractor, removed stripped bolt, replaced with new bolt to secure mower blade. re-installed mower deck.

My mower blade had fallen off. I replaced the bolt and washers to complete to repair

1 Jacked up the mower
2 Placed the blade on the shaft
3 Threaded in the bolts/washers
4 Torqued the bolt.
5 Removed the jack.
6 Test run

The Star at the end of my shaft assembly and the bolt that holds the blade was worn and needed to replaced

Dropped the deck, removed the belt, bolt and Pulley from the top of the Mandel, removed the bolt and blade from the bottom of the Mandel. Then remove the bolts holding the mandrel to the deck and drop the mandrel. Next the shaft was removed but the bottom bearings would not release from the mandrel. I stuck the handle of a socket wrench thru the top of the mandrel and hammered the bearing out. I cleaned the mandrel and installed the new shaft assembly and assembled the other parts in reverse.
