The blade guard on my Troy-Bilt edger was broken as well as the rod that adjust the blade angle.
I had to remove the entire arm assembly to replace the adjust rod for the angle of the blade. At the end of the arm is the blade and guard. The guard is held on by 3 torx head screws.
I took pictures with my phone in the event that I needed to reference them during the reassembly.
The entire job took about 30 minutes.
