Product Information

Description:

This is an original part from Craftsman for garden tractors, riding mowers and lawn tractors. This part spins underneath the mower deck to the cut the weeds and grass. Replace this part if the mulching blade is dull, broken, or damaged. You will need a socket wrench to replace this part. This mulching blade is made of metal and sold individually.

Tools Used:

Wrench Set, Impact wrench, dremel tool, Steel brush and 14mm box end wre

Blades were old and not cutting evenly.

Should have taken 20 minutes.
However, after removing the blades with the impact wrench, the new blades didn't go onto the star that holds the blade in place. So I cleaned up the star with a steel brush but still couldn't get it to go on smoothly. So used the Dremel tool to remove all the paint from the inside of the star on the new blades. Was able to install the blades with the impact wrench and mow the lawn!!
