When these two Bevel Gears are mated, it makes it possible to raise and lower the blade.
Every so often it is a good idea to clean the gears of sawdust and debris.

Anyone know how to replace the bevel gear on the dewalt table saw. One of my gears broke. Before it broke it was very hard to roll up the blade. The handle also broke, so I need one of those also. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Renee:)

They have both parts here on E Repl. after you take the handle off the frony you will see a roll pin through the shaft and then the shaft will go inboard...also there is a little snap ring on the bevel gear itself....
