Hook and loop pad was worn out, and the sander wasn't collecting dust.
1. Removed the old pad (3 screws)
2. Put the Random Orbit belt in place
3. Placed new pad on and replaced the three screws
4. Turned sander on - worked like a charm!
What was most helpful was your diagnostic suggestions on the web page. I would not have known about the need for the new belt without that.

Easy Repair
The shipping cost more than the part. Company provides good schematics so you know what you need and any issues involved (there were none).

I received a belt for a Porter Cable Random Orbital Sander
Getting parts from eReplacement Parts is quicker, better, and less expensive than ordering from Amazon, and the same price you would pay Porter Cable if you would order from them. When I need repair parts for tools or equipment I always go to eReplacement Parts for quick delivery, a reasonable price and information if required. Definitely a great source for repair parts.
