Description:
This Ball Bearing is sealed on both sides. This is a genuine Makita replacement part that is sold individually.

  • Ball bearings are used to reduce friction between rotating parts. The balls or rollers take the load and spin, distributing the weight evenly while the minimal contact area of the ball reduces friction. This reduces wear on the tool and allows it to run smoothly.
  • Bearings experience constant wear when the tool is in operation from pressure, heat, vibration and friction. Because of this, many Bearings need periodic maintenance or replacement.

Do these ball bearings have to have a special bearing puller to get them off the shaft??

I have new bearings (6202LLB) for my Makita 2012 Planer.
Do these Ball Bearings have to be pulled off the shaft with a bearing puller or should they slide off??

    Hello EdMcQ,

Hopefully the bearings are on tight enough that you have to use a puller. Then use a press to replace them.
