Screwdriver, Pliers, Power Drill, Socket set, Wrench Set, Adjustable Wrench, complete breakdown of Hitachi compound Mitre Saw- vise, etc
Hitachi- C 10FS- very quick rundown . . .
Best before starting to have the Schematic Diagram and study carefully. videos on YouTube help.
A.- remove exterior casings- document or photo of all pieces and respective screws .
remove screws and put separate containers (some look very similar but diff sizes)
1.remove armature casing and armature- will need a special tool or ability to "press" bearings out
2. remove electrical starter switch. at handle
3. remove all attachments at Blade-and clear Safety Cover- remove spindle assemblies without damaging pinions. New sealed bearings do not need grease thankfully!
4.clean all parts, re-grease at pinions and re-install carefully .--
5. done correctly all pieces and screws re-installed without forcing and cross threading.
6. may discover other parts that need replacing as you dismantle entire machine.
7. the Hitachi worked like new after re-assembly -install belt cover plate after
mounting the belt to check its response- smooth as butter!!!
Best Compound Mitre Saw yet (made in Japan) -worth the time to replace parts etc-
except of course if investing in a FESTOOL KAPEX Compound

motor support bearings worn out

replaced with new bearings simply but needed dead blow to remove old and seat new bearings

Removed router from router table
Disassembled router
Removed collet end from motor armature (held armature in large vise grip while using wrench on collet) and removed magnet from opposite end of armature.
Removed worn bearing (pressed out with a suitable size socket & hammer) & replaced bearing.

Bearing in motor bad

1. Disassemble the entire drive train and motor.
2. Carefully disassemble the motor
3. Remove old bearings with gear puller and pressed on the new ones
4. Reassemble the motor and reassemble the rest of the drive train.
5. It was a bit of a pain to do but everything worked great

1. Disassemble the drill case.
2. Remove motor brushes, motor assemble and clutch.
3. Press the bearings off the shaft.
4. Reassemble the same way
5. Change out the switch.
6. Install motor brushes
7. Reassemble the drill case and test.
