Specifications
  • Includes bearing.
Description:
This is an authentic OEM sourced part which is specially made for Craftsman chainsaws. A centrifugal clutch is a part that uses centrifugal force to connect two concentric shafts, with the driving shaft nested inside the driven shaft. Today’s centrifugal clutches will function even when they shouldn’t, far beyond the point of when they need to be replaced. Keeping an eye on equipment performance will determine when the centrifugal clutch requires attention. It is a high-quality clutch drum which is made of durable metal and is sold individually. Please note, the #530057907 Clutch is sold separately.

I purchased this Poulan in the early 1970's and need a spur sprocket for it. The factory part # is 530069301. The old sprocket appears to be about 2-3/4" O.D., six teeth. Do you have a sprocket that will fit my saw?
Neal for model number Poulan S25DA asked on 2022-02-15
Hello Neal, Thank you for the question. We are sorry, we looked up the part and it is listed as No Longer Available/Discontinued. There are no part substitutions listed. Our suggestion here would be to call the manufacturer and see if they can provide you with a substitution for these part numbers and contact us back with the updated substitution number. We hope this helps!

Clutch and clutch drum worn out
Loosen the tension on the blade. Remove the clutch cover. Then remove the bar and chain. Remove the e-ring and washer and the clutch drum. Now you have to lock up the engine for the removal of the clutch. To do this, remove the spark plug and place a length of rope into the cylinder, with some of the rope left out of the cylinder. Turn the clutch until the piston comes in contact with the rope and stops moving. With a screwdriver and hammer, strike the edge of the clutch in a clockwise motion until it is loose on the shaft. Remove the old clutch , then install the new clutch, tapping it with the hammer and screwdriver in a counterclockwise motion. Start replacing all of the parts that were removed from the saw ion reverse order. And don't forget about the spark plug. For the filter, simply remove the filter cover and remove the old filter and replace it with the new one, then replace the cover.

chain kept jumping off sprocket
1. I removed the bar by removing the 1/2 inch nuts holding the bar cover.
2. Using a screw-driver I removed the e-clip holding clutch washer, and removed the washer.
3. At this point, the clutch drum should pull off. Mine was quite sticky so I ended up using my channel-lock pliers to pull on the sprocket. I was replacing this anyway (sprocket is on clutch drum) so I wasn't worried about marring the sprocket.
4. Replaced the clutch drum. Placed a new clutch washer back on (old one was perfectly serviceable but decided if I was in there I would replace it). Put the new e-clip on - be careful here, it can go flying!
5. Since I had lost my bar adjust screw earlier I replaced it in the bar cover. Then I bolted down the bar cover.
